Attempted Suicide

All suicide attempts must be taken seriously. Do not assume that a person who attempts suicide "just wants attention" or "doesn't really mean it." Those who repeat suicide attempts may eventually succeed in killing themselves. Threats of suicide or other suicidal behavior are especially serious when the person has attempted suicide in the past.
