Suddenly Calling up, or Visiting, People He/She Hasn’t Seen in a Long Time - "Saying Goodbye"

A suicidal person may call up or visit friends that he/she hasn’t seen in a while, "just to say hello." In fact, that person is saying goodbye to people he/she doesn’t expect to see again. The person may also "settle unfinished business" by paying off an old loan, straightening up the house, etc.
